What are the camp rules?
The basic rules are to love God and love others.
Abide by FSY guidelines.
Quiet time is from 10pm to 7am. (The camp has close neighbors. We need to respect their need for a good night’s sleep.)
Keep a good attitude.
Do as asked by the leaders.
Go to bed at 10pm, or as soon as possible after the last activity of the day, whichever is later.
Stay in your tent (boys) or cabin (girls) throughout the night.
No boys in girls’ cabins and no girls in boys’ tents.
No pairing off of only two people.
Stay out of the river.
Will this be fun?
Absolutely yes—if you maintain a good attitude and a desire to draw closer to the Savior.
What are we going to do at camp?
There will be a combination of plays/re-enactments based on the New Testament, games and activities, and service projects and good food.
What are we going to eat?
Good food. You will be well-fed.
Be sure to eat before you come on Wednesday. The first provided meal will be dinner Wednesday evening.
What kind of sleeping accommodations will there be?
YW and adult women will be housed in cabins.
YM and adult men will be housed in large tents.
Adult couples need to provide their own tent/trailer.
What if I have food allergies?
The cooking staff will accommodate those with food allergies—as long as they know.
Be sure you know what you can and cannot eat. If you have questions about what something is or contains, ask the cooking staff before you eat it.
What should I bring?
See packing list below
Can I bring my cell phone or tablet?
Yes, but be aware that there is little-to-no cell coverage at camp, and you won’t be able to recharge electronic devices.
Can I bring electronic games?
Please don’t.
Are there showers available at camp?
Yes, but they are very limited in number and there is no time allotted for showers. If you want to shower, it will have to be early in the morning.
Can I be with my friends?
Yes, assuming you make friends w/ those in your assigned family.
We would like you to expand your circle of friends during this Youth Conference so you feel you’re part of a larger group of friends who love and care about you.
There will be times during the conference you can be with friends you had before camp.
